Day 01 :
ARRIVE -> AT PARO
Day 02 : PARO -> SIGHTSEEING
Day 03 : PARO -> SHANA
Day 04 : SHANA -> THANGTHANGKA
Day 05 : THANGTHANGKA -> JANGOTHANG
Day 06 : JANGOTHANG -> LINGSHI
Day 07 : LINGSHI -> CHEBISA
Day 08 : CHEBISA -> SHOMUTHANG
Day 09 : SHOMUTHANG -> ROBLUTHANG
Day 10 : ROBLUTHANG -> LIMETHANG
Day 11 : LIMETHANG -> LAYA
Day 12 : LAYA -> KOENA
Day 13 : KOENA -> GASA TSA-CHU (HOT SPRING)
Day 14 : GASA -> GOEN DAMJI
Day 15 : GOEN DAMJI -> TASHITHANG AND DRIVE TO HOTEL IN PUNAKHA.
Day 16 : PUNAKHA -> THIMPHU/PARO
Day 17 : PARO -> DEPARTURE

 

Day 01 :

ARRIVAL AT PARO.

Transfer to hotel. Lunch at hotel and visit the National Museum and the down town Paro.
Day 02 :
Today is the day for you to get acclimatize to the altitude before you finally start your trek. Day hike to the famous Taktsang (Tiger's nest) monastery which clings to the cliff 800m above the valley. Overnight Hotel.
Day 03 :

PARO - SHANA 17Kms

Drive from Hotel to Drugyel Dzong - Your trek begins here following gently uphill through a narrowing agricultural valley. The trail leads through few villages and you will have the opportunity to see the way of life of these Bhutanese people. Overnight camp.
Day 04 :

SHANA - THANGTHANGKA

Continue gently uphill through the river valley. The trail winds up and down along the drainage. Overnight camp.
Day 05 :

THANGTHANGKA - JANGOTHANG 19Kms.

Continue uphill and pass a small army post where the valley begins to widen again. Now views of high ridges and the snow-capped peaks can be seen all around. You will see Yak herders and their winter homes. Overnight camp at the base of Mt. Jumolhari. (Alt. 4040m).
Day 06 :

JANGOTHANG - LINGSHI 19Kms.

Wide Yak pastures on the way up and down the pass, possibly encounter some nomads in their Yak tents depending on the time of the year you are there. Great views of Lingshi Dzong (District Administration Headquarter for Lingshi) as you come down into Lingshi basin. Mt. Tserim gang and its descending glaciers at the north end of the valley. Overnight camp. (Alt. 4150m).
Day 07 :

LINGSHI - CHEBISA 16Kms.

Today, you take it easy to reach your camp. On arrival you can walk around the village. Overnight camp.
Day 08 :

CHEBISA - SHOMUTHANG 17Kms.

The trail leads through wild high pastures over the Gobula Pass (Alt. 4350m). Overnight camp.
Day 09 :

SHOMUTHANG - ROBLUTHANG 19Kms.

Today you have to cross the Jarela Pass (Alt. 4600m) then, you descend to Tsari Jathang where herds of Takin (National animal) are normally seen. Overnight camp.
Day 10 :

ROBLUTHANG - LIMETHANG

The trail gradually climbs to the Shingela Pass (Alt. 4900m) and descends to the valley. The camp site is below Mt. Gangchenta. Overnight camp. (Alt. 3890m).
Day 11 :

LIMETHANG - LAYA 12Kms.

Today the trek is all the way down hill along a winding river and then you arrive in Laya. The people of Laya wear their own traditional costumes and you will begin to see the ladies in their beautiful hats. Overnight camp. Alt. 3890m.
Day 12 :

LAYA - KOENA 18Kms.

The trail winds up and down the narrow valley avoiding natural obstacles and affording breath taking views of the rushing river, feeder streams and water falls. Overnight camp. Alt. 3853m.
Day 13 :

KOENA - GASA TSACHU (HOT SPRING) 17Kms.

Crossing the Bolwla Pass (Alt. 3739m) you hike down hill till you reach your camp at the Hot spring. Today is the day every trekkers on this track look forward for the Hot spring bath after eleven rough nights in ents without proper shower facilities. Overnight camp. Alt. 2820m.
Day 14 :

GASA TSACHU - GOEN DAMJI 21Kms.

After the climb from the hot spring, the trail winds through rolling hill sides, fields, villages, oak and pine forest. Gasa Dzong will still be visible behind you seeming to float in space. Overnight camp. Alt. 2280m.
Day 15 :

GOEN DAMJI - TASHITHANG - HOTEL

The trail now descends from the high agricultural benches above the Mo-chu river into a lush semi-tropical zone. You will be picked up by car at Tashithang and transferred to the hotel. Overnight hotel in Punakha.
Day 16 :

PUNAKHA - THIMPHU - PARO

Drive to Paro enroute stop at Thimphu for lunch and further proceed to Paro for night halt for your departure the next morning to Bangkok.
Day 17 :

PARO - BANGKOK

Departure to Bangkok by Druk-Air flight.
